This Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) sets out the basis on which Unity LLC Security Systems & Equipment Trading Co., L.L.C (“we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process personal data of our customers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”). This Notice applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including personal data in the possession of organisations which we have engaged to collect, use, disclose or process personal data for our purposes.
Personal Data
As used in this Notice:
“customer” means an individual who (a) has contacted us through any means to find out more about any goods or services we provide, or (b) may, or has, entered into a contract with us for the supply of any goods or services by us; and “personal data” means data, whether true or not, about a customer who can be identified: (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access. Other terms used in this Notice shall have the meanings given to them in the PDPA (where the context so permits).
Collection of Client’s Data
We generally do not collect your personal data unless (a) it is provided voluntarily by you or by a third party authorised by you (your “authorised representative”) after (i) you or your authorised representative have been notified of the purposes for which the data is collected, and (ii) written consent has been provided; or (b) the collection and use of personal data without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws. We will seek your consent before collecting additional personal data or using your data for new purposes not previously notified (except where allowed by law).
Location: We may use or store your precise geographic location with your permission, for features within our applications and to improve and customise services. We only share this location information with others as approved by you.
Logging of Data: Our servers may automatically log data such as your IP address, operating system, device type, and search terms during your use of our application. This data is used for service delivery and performance improvement.
We may collect and use your personal data for the following purposes:
(a) Performing obligations in connection with our goods or services;
(b) Verifying identity;
(c) Responding to queries, applications, complaints or feedback;
(d) Managing our relationship with you;
(e) Processing payments or credit transactions;
(f) Complying with applicable laws, regulations, or assisting in investigations;
(g) Other purposes you have consented to;
(h) Transmitting to third parties (including service providers and authorities) for the above purposes;
(i) Incidental business purposes related to the above.
We may disclose your personal data where necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you. These purposes may continue to apply even after your relationship with us ends, for a reasonable period of time thereafter.
Deemed Consent by Notification
We may collect, use, or disclose your personal data for secondary purposes different from the original purpose using deemed consent by notification. You will be notified of such purposes through appropriate means. We may rely on deemed consent by notification for purposes such as:
o Business improvement and innovation, such as better understanding customer needs and enhancing service delivery.
Before doing so, we will assess that the use of personal data does not likely have an adverse effect on you.
You will be given a reasonable period to opt out. After the opt-out period, you may still withdraw your consent for these purposes by notifying us in writing.
Reliance on Legitimate Interests Exception
In compliance with the PDPA, we may collect, use or disclose personal data without consent under the legitimate interests exception after assessing that the benefits outweigh any adverse impact.
We may rely on this exception for:
a. Fraud detection and prevention;
b. Prevention of service misuse;
c. Network analysis for fraud and financial crime detection;
d. Data monitoring on company-issued devices to prevent data loss.
These purposes may continue to apply after the termination of our relationship.
Withdrawal of Consent
Consent remains valid until withdrawn in writing. Requests may be sent to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at the contact provided below.
We may need time to process your withdrawal and inform you of any consequences, including possible inability to continue service provision. Processing typically occurs within ten (10) business days.
If you choose to cancel your withdrawal, please notify us in writing. Withdrawal does not affect our rights to collect, use or disclose personal data without consent where legally permitted.
Access to and Correction of Personal Data
To request access or corrections to your personal data, please contact our DPO in writing or by email. A reasonable fee may be charged for access requests, and you will be informed beforehand.
We will respond to your request within seven (7) business days, or inform you within ten (10) business days if additional time is needed.
Protection of Personal Data
We implement administrative, physical and technical safeguards such as data minimisation, access controls, encryption, anonymisation, secure disposal, web security, and regular system updates to protect your personal data.
However, no method of data transmission or storage is entirely secure. We continually enhance our security measures to safeguard your data.
Accuracy of Personal Data
We rely on the personal data provided by you. Please ensure your data is current and notify our DPO of any updates.
Retention of Personal Data
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for business or legal purposes. When no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymise the data.
Transfers of Personal Data Between Singapore and the UAE
We only transfer personal data between Singapore and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where our operations and data infrastructure are located. Such transfers are conducted with appropriate safeguards to ensure that the data remains protected in accordance with standards comparable to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We ensure that any data transferred across these jurisdictions is encrypted, securely transmitted, and accessed only by authorised personnel for the purposes outlined in this Notice.

Effect of Notice and Changes
